The Malaysia Karate Federation has called up 14 exponents to join the national set-up for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games to be held in Philippines.
Among the karatekas who were invited is 2006 Doha Asian Games silver medalist Kunasilan and Nisha Alagasan.
Kunalisan who left the national pool six years ago has rejoined the national karate team with the aim of winning gold medal in the men's -60kg kumite event.
As for Alagasan, she is concentrating in the women's 55kg kumite.
Both athletes were among the winners of the recently concluded National Karate ChamÂpionships in Serdang.
Malaysia is one of the countries to watch out for at the biennial meet that will open on November 30.
At the 2017 SEA Games, Malaysia topped the karate medal tally with 7 gold medals.
