I. About the 11th ASEAN School Games
The 11th ASEAN School Games (ASG) was hosted by Semarang in Central Java, Indonesia from 17th July to 25th July, 2019. Semarang accommodated the student-athletes under the age of eighteen. This wass the first time that Central Java is hosting the event after Surabaya hosted in 2012 .

This year's theme is "Unity, Spirit & Respect".

The ASEAN Schools Games (ASG) is an annual sporting event which aims to enhance friendship among students around the Southeast Asian region. It also seeks to promote ASEAN solidarity among the youth through school sports and provide opportunities for school athletes to engage in cultural exchange.

VII. Official Mascot

The 11th ASEAN Schools Games 2019 mascot named Si Warak. Si Warak is adaptation from the icon of Semarang city, Warak Ngendog. Warak itself is a the doll/statue that became symbol of the union of three ethnicities and culture (Javanese, Chinese & Arabic) who coexist harmoniously in Semarang city.
This historical value inspire the 2019 ASG tagline namely unity, the spirit of sportsmanship (spirit) & friendship (respect).

VIII. Official Emblem/Logo

Keris is one of many indigenous Indonesian cultural heritage. Keris itself is a traditional dagger that have wavy shape made of forged and folded metal repeatedly so there are patterns/pamor. Keris become the main visual element on this ASG 2019 logo design.

Besides Keris, the logo design also have many symbolism. Fire is symbol of spirit/enthusiasm. Human with stretched arms symbolizes victory. And 10 lines on the keris pamor represents 10 Asean member countries participated in this sporting event.

The ASG 2019 logo design want to convey spirit and enthusiasm of Indonesia in to unite and strengthen the friendship between countries of ASEAN through sports.
