SEA Nations dominated Iran Badminton Tournament

Southeast Asian badminton players dominated the 28th Iran Fajr International Challenge 2019 held from February 4 to 7.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand won the men's single title after beating Li Shifeng of China, 21-18, 21-17 in the finals while his compatriot Supanida Katethong disposed Indonesia's Choirunnisa to capture the women's single title.

Katethong ruled the event to defeat Choirunnisa in two games, 21-16 and 21-13. 

Despite the defeat of Choirunnisa, Indonesia ruled the men's and women's events.

Nita Violina Marwah and Putri Syaikah captured the women's doubles title after a win over Turkish players composed of Bengisu Ercetin and Nazlıcan Inci.

The Indonesian duo dominated the final match, 21-17 and 21-18.

In the men's doubles event, it was an all Indonesian finals between the tandem of Pramudya Kusumawardana Riyanto and Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob against partners Adnan Maulana and Ghifari Anandaffa Prihardika. 

But the later prevailed and captured the men's doubles title, 21-18 and 21-13. 
Aside from Indonesia and Thailand, Singapore also made good performances by advancing into women's singles and men's doubles semifinals.
