The Philippines and Laos were the two teams from Southeast Asia who competed at the Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2018. The competition were held in Dhaka, Sylhet and Cox's Bazar from October 1 to 12.The Philippines topped Group B with two wins while Laos failed to win a single match in the group stage preliminary.The Philippines advanced to the semi final but failed to win against Group's A runner-up Tajikistan, 0-2.
