The Youth Indonesia Weightlifting Championships was held at the Gor Ngurah Rai venue in Denpasar, Bali from July 29 to August 6.160 participants from Southeast Asian countries like the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and host Indonesia.Thailand dominated in all categories they competed while host Indonesia and the Philippines has seen potential future weightlifters.Philippines won 4 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals.Bringing medals for team Philippines were Vanessa Serrano who garnered 3 gold medals while Zamboanga City’s Rosegie Ramos has a gold and a pair of silvers. Linette Hipolito, also from Zamboanga, took home 3 silver medals, and Paolo Rivera of Metro Manila earned 3 bronze medals.
