Philippines' Maxine Isabel Esteban collected two medals at the Trekanten International - Nordic Championships Foil 2018 held in Valby Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark from May 26 to 27.Esteban won gold medal in the women's U20 individual foil event beating Miriam Schreiber of Sweden in the finals.The bronze medals were awarded to Laura Margrethe Pathare and Sophiia Sanchez both from host Denmark.Esteban outclassed the 21 other fencers from Australia, Austria, Finland, Netherlands, Great Britain, Sweden and host Denmark.She also competed in the senior foil event (FIE Senior Satellite World Cup) where she won the bronze medal.The senior female foil event attracted 37 fencers with Eline Rentier of Netherlands winning the gold medal.Other Filipino fencer in the competition was Brennan Wayne Louie who ranked 11th over 69 fencers who participated in the senior male foil event.
