🏃‍ Borneo International Marathon 2018

Joerge Andrade of the Philippines won the men's marathon open at the Borneo International Marathon in Sabah, Malaysia clocking 2:54:14. Behind him were Chepsergon of Kenya with a time of 2:55:26 and Malaysia's Daved Simpat with a time of 2:56:23.

Brunei's Suhardi Bin Kurus made it in the top 10 with a time of 3:13:02.

The marathon was attracted marathoners from India, China, Kenya, Taiwan, United Kingdom and from Southeast Asia like Brunei, the Philippines and host Malaysia.

In the women's full marathon event, Mailin Ripau of Malaysia finished second behind United Kingdom's Nicci Chapman. Ripau clocked 4:06:32 while Chapman clocked 3:34:05. While Rebecca James Juat also from Malaysia came in 3rd place.
The marathon event also featured half-marathon which was won by James Karanja of Kenya in men's event while Japanese Ai Miyake topped the women's side.
