🏐 FIVB World Tour SMM Pak Bara Beach Satun 2018

The FIVB World Tour SMM Pak Bara Beach Satun was held in Satun, Thailand from April 8 to 11.

Host Thailand and Indonesia were the teams who competed in this world tour. Both nations got teams in the semi finals for both men and women's events.

In the women's semi-finals, Juliana Dhita and Utami Putu of Indonesia was halted to the finals by Americans Caitlin Leddux and Emily Stockman while Thailand’s Rampaipruet Numwong and Khanittha Hongpak was defeated by Tatyana Mashkova and Irina Tsimbalova of Kazakhstan.

After those two separate defeats, Thailand and Indonesia collided for bronze medal battle.
 
As a result, Thailand’s Rampaipruet Numwong and Khanittha Hongpak claimed bronze medal after beating Juliana Dhita and Utami Putu of Indonesia, 21-19 24-22 in third-place playoff.

Meanwhile in the men's category, Nuttanon Inkiew and Sedtawat Padsawud beat Aussies Zachary Schubert and Tim Dickson in the semi final match. 

In the other semi-final, Indonesian Candra Ade Rachamawan and Mohammad Ashfiya win over Iranian Rahman Raoufi and Abolhamed Mirzaali to enroute to the finals against Thailand.

In the finals match, Nuttanon Inkiew and Sedtawat Padsawud handed Thailand's the first-ever World Tour gold medal after stunning arch rivals Candra Ade Rachamawan and Mohammad Ashfiya of Indonesia, 21-19 21-16.

At the end of the competition, Thailand collected a gold and bronze medals while Indonesia got its lone silver medal.
