🎯 Archery | Asia Cup 2018 - Leg 2

The Asia Cup 2018 in archery - Stage 2 is being held at the Rizal Memorial Baseball field in Manila, Philippines from April 6 to 11.

13 countries from Asia and Oceania like Australia and New Zealand are competing in 10 events.

Southeast Asian countries who competed in the 6-day tournament were Malaysia, Thailand and host Philippines.
Dela Cruz also captured the men's compound individual defeating Hsiang-Hsuan Chen of Chinese Taipei in the finals.
Indonesia and Vietnam are not present in this tournament while Malaysia sent new names (team B) for their team.
On the last day of the competition, the Philippines saw action in the compound events in the mixed team event and men's team event.
Amaya Amparo Cojuangco and Paul Marton Dela Cruz won the gold medal after beating the duo of Chinese Taipei team in the finals, 151-147.

Unfortunately, Philippine men's team composed of Paul Marton Dela Cruz, Earl Benjamin Yap and Joseph Vicencio unable to defeat another Chinese Taipei team, 133-135. The team settled for silver medal.
Team Philippines returned in the field for bronze medal in the mixed recurve team event courtesy of Kareel Meer Hongitan and Mark Javier but vowed against their rival archers from India.
Also, the women's compound team of the Philippines placed third behind Chinese Taipei and India who won the gold and silver medals respectively.
All-in-all, the Philippines won 2 gold medals, a silver and a bronze medals.
Chinese Taipei topped the medal tally with 6 gold medals while Korea placed second overall with 2 gold medals.
Medals awarded in the qualification round are not included in the tally.
