The first leg of the Diving World Series was held in Beijing, China from March 9 to 11. .
At this leg, Malaysia won silver medal courtesy of Pandelela Rinong-Cheong Jun Hoong in the women’s 10m platform synchro.They gathered a total score of 312.24 points to finish behind China’s Zhang Jiaqi-Zhang Minjie who scored 368.22 points.Pandelela also competed in the Women's 10m Platform finals were she placed 4th with 353.85 points.
Other Malaysian divers were unsuccessful in their campaign and will try their luck at the second leg.The second leg is now being held in Fuji, Japan from March 15 to 11.
