🏸 Ciputra Ha Noi - Yonex Sunrise Viet Nam International Challenge 2018

The Ciputra Ha Noi - Yonex Sunrise Viet Nam International Challenge was held at Tay Ho District’s Gymnasium in Vietnam from March 20 to 25.

It attracted 292 badminton players from 18 countries and territories including our Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and host Vietnam.

Three titles were won by our Southeast Asian teams at this competition. And the host won one of the 5 events which is the mixed doubles event courtesy of Tuan Duc Do and Nhu Thao Pham. They beat the Russian tandem in 3-set.

Meanwhile, Indonesia grabbed the women's singles title courtesy of Dinar Dyah Ayustine beating Takahashi of Japan in the finals.

While powerhouse Thailand did not go home empty handed by capturing the men's doubles event. The duo Maneepong Jongjit and Nanthakarn Yordphaisong defeated Malaysia's duo of Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh in the finals, 21-18 and 21-14.

The prize for singles event winners took $1,875 each while the winners of doubles events received $1,975.

  • 2nd - Giap Chin Goh (Malaysia)
  • 3rd - Krishna Adi Nugraha (Indonesia)
  • 3rd - Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo (Indonesia)

Women's Singles 
  • 1st - Dinar Dyah Ayustine (Indonesia)
  • 3rd - Thuy Linh Nguyen (Vietnam)

Men's Doubles
  • 1st - Maneepong Jongjit and Nanthakarn Yordphaisong (Thailand)
  • 2nd -Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh (Malaysia)

Women's Doubles
  • 2nd - Mei Kuan Chow and Vivian Hoo (Malaysia)

Mixed Doubles
  • 1st - Tuan Duc Do and Nhu Thao Pham (Vietnam)
  • 3rd - Rinov Rivaldy and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari (Indonesia)
