Hyundai World Archery Championships 2017

Malaysia and the Philippines were among the 58 countries that competed at the 2017 Hyundai World Archery Championships held in Mexico City, Mexico.
The week long championship was participated by 373 archers around the world where Malaysia offered 12 while Philippines sent 4 competitors.

Unfortunately, the two countries did not win any medal at this world championships.
 
Mat Salleh Fatin Nurfatehah of Malaysia in women's compound reached  round of 16. While compatriot Kamaruddin Haziq, Mohamad Khairul Anuar and Nor Hasrin Muhammad Akmal also reached the recurve men's team event beating Mexico in the first round. But surrendered in the quarter finals against powerhouse South Korea.
 
At the end of the competition, South Korean team came on top with 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Italy, France, USA, Colombia and Russia snatched 1 gold each.
