The 2017 FIBA Asia Women's Cup was held in Bangalore, India from the 23rd July to 29th of July. Sixteen (16) nations participated in this tournament and were divided into two divisions.Division A composed of eight (8) teams and are eligible for top honours and medals of the Asia women's Cup. While Division B which is also composed of eight (8) teams and will fight for top place for a Division A promotion.Two of our Southeast Asian teams competed in this tournament but in separate divisions. Philippines in Division A while Singapore in Division B.
At the end of this tournament, the Philippines retains its Division A status after defeating North Korea while Singapore placed 5th overall in Division B after beating Fiji in their last match.
