The 27th ASEAN Armies Rifles Meet 2017 was held in Singapore from November 6 to 24.The event is a annual rifle, pistol and machine gun competition between the armies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member-states. The competition has 5 categories: rifle, carbine, machine gun, pistol for men and pistol for ladies.
Indonesia swept nine of 15 trophies and Thailand won three trophies. Myanmar, Vietnam and the Philippines won one trophy each.Last year, Indonesia topped the competition followed by Royal Thai Army in second place while the Philippines completed the top 3.
Malaysia will host the next year's AARM.
