6th Youth Commonwealth Games 2017

The 6th edition of Youth Commonwealth Games was held in Nassau, Bahamas from 18th to 23rd of July with sixty-four participating territories and countries. Among them were Malaysia and Singapore which quadrennially  participates this youth games. 

The 6th edition of Youth Commonwealth Games offered 9 sports with 95 events.  

Singapore who sent 13 athletes in swimming gathered 17 medals including 7 gold medals. While Malaysia sent 14 athletes in athletics, cycling and swimming. 

All the seven gold medals won by Singapore came from swimming. Quah Jing Wen was the most decorative Singaporean swimmer. She won 5 gold medals in Girls 100m Butterfly, Girls 100m Freestyle and Girls 50m Butterfly. She is also a member of the relay team which two gold medals - Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay and Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay. 

She also captured a silver medal in the Girls 200m Butterfly.
Other gold medalists are Francis Jia Yi Fong in the Boys 100m Backstroke and Christie May Mu Chue in the Girls 50m Breaststroke.

In the case of Malaysia, they did not medal for this edition. Check Malaysia and Singapore's performances below.
