6th ASEAN School Games 2014


The sixth ASEAN School Games (ASG) was hosted by the Philippines in Marikina City from November 29 to December 7, 2014. It was the first time the Philippines hosted the annual event.
The ASEAN Schools Games (ASG) is an annual sporting event which aims to enhance friendship among students around the Southeast Asian region. It also seeks to promote ASEAN solidarity among the youth through school sports and provide opportunities for school athletes to engage in cultural exchange.
This year's theme: "One ASEAN, One Vision, One Community of Champions”

Logo and Mascot

MASCOT. The national bird of the Philippines, the eagle, is the inspiration for the 2014 ASEAN Schools Games' mascot. The shoes worn by the Eagle represent the city of Marikina, the host city of the 6th ASG which is known for producing leather shoes of the highest quality. 
LOGO. The map of the Philippines, a flaming torch, and interconnected rings constitutes the official logo of the 6th ASG. The map symbolizes the Philippines as the venue of the competition, while the flame on the torch represents the fire in the hearts of each competitor, team, and coach and their burning desire or will to win. The interconnected rings, an international and non-discriminating countries, exemplify the ASEAN countries taking part in the 6th ASG. Similarly, the rings represent the correlation, unity, and reliability of each participating country.
